The successful applicant will demonstrate the following:

*Positive attitude with a strong work ethic

*Flexible to work over a 7 day roster including nights and weekend

*Must have a current RSA and basic gaming, with all current courses completed.

*Experience with TAB is preferred but not essential

The V Hotel part of EDP Hotels is on the lookout for a highly skilled Venue Manager

This newly built venue located in the heart of Virginia comprises large dining facilities, multiple bars including TAB, a three lane bottleshop and a modern gaming room.

This exciting career opportunity exists for a highly motivated and proactive Venue Manager 

To be successful you must have a background in a high volume venue and possess the following attributes:

  •  A passionate, dedicated Manager willing to work hard, drive the business and showcase your results
  • Experienced in Marketing, budgeting and Management acumen
  • Able to demonstrate a good understanding of the dynamics of restaurant and venue activities 
  • Excellent interpersonal & communication skills
  • Ability to problem solve in a fast paced environment
  • Passion for training and developing staff
  • Extensive knowledge of food and wine
  • Thrives under pressure
  • Proven success in a hospitality management role
  • Hands on attitude with a passion for the industry

As The Venue Manager you will take charge of Management of the Hotel, across all areas of the Venue.

Your areas of responsibility will include: -

  • Manage all aspects of the venue and the ability to work as a team member 
  • Formulate Marketing and Sales Strategies to increase revenue 
  • Manage and supervise the Events / Functions 
  • Recruitment and management of staff members including induction and training as required 
  •  Liaise with head chef/kitchen collaborating in the introduction of new dishes/seasonal menu as required 
  • Assist in preparation of final costings of food and beverage 
  • Coordinate maintenance activities at the venue 
  • Manage and supervise Stock Control 

Salary Package relevant to experience will be negotiated
